Issue With Velocity Bars

Hi;

I'm working on my first project in Cakelab.  So far so good, but one small issue: In the MIDI editor in X3 I used to be able to raise and lower the velocity bars for notes just by sweeping the cursor across it in the field directly below the note(s). Makes them all the same velocity, but sometimes that's all I want to do. Now in Cakelab this doesn't work sometimes.  It only works if I first click the a note in the editor and change the notes velocity by entering a number.  After I do that, only then can I just go down to the bars and bring them up or down.  And yes, I'm using the Smart Tool for this.

Any answers?
Thanks.

    You can still edit the velocity one note, a group or the whole track

    For one note highlight that note and use the smart tool in the A area to drag up and down.

    To do a group lasso the group and do the same
    For a whole track select all and drag any note up or down.

    To set the velocity the same for all note what I do is drag the mouse down the keyboard on the left to highlight all the notes, grab a note and drag the whole works to max. Let go, now drag the whole works down to where you want it. A dialog box will tell you stats.
    I cover all this in detail in my tutorial ( see link below)

    Cactus-Thanks for the above info.
    It must have been the keyboard configuration I was using.  A few days ago I got tired of the over-sensitivity of my (alpha numeric) keyboard which has a touch pad like a laptop does.  I got fed up with it dragging files I didn't want it to drag and performing tasks I didn't want it to perform because it was too sensitive to pressure on the pad so I changed it to where you must push the buttons to execute a task instead of tapping on the pad to do so.  Something must've gotten confused with some of the commands in Cakelab in that configuration.  This morning, before launching the project I changed the keyboard configuration back to tap mode and the velocity bars in Cake did what they used to do ie, if I have a chord, or multiple notes playing on the same beat I can lasso them and boost or lower all of the notes to the same velocity just by running the cursor across the one velocity bar.
