I hate to listen to "cover" versions where people make it exactly the same as the original.  I always think "why bother?"  Good examples are "I'm A Believer" originally by the Monkees and "Give A Little Bit" by Supertramp.  I don't know or care who covered these songs, but somehow they became commercial hits (again).  What a waste!
 
I DO like to hear covers like this where you made it your own with the beat.  That's creativity.  Nice!
