Built a brand new PC (with audio probs)

I'm baffled at what's going on. I've upgraded my C drive and regular drive (all music files) to SSD's
A 1TB 850 EVO Samsung for the C drive and 500GB Intel SSD for the main audio drive.
There are 3 other 7200 rpm drives in the computer for storage.
32GB of ram 4ghz processor

Before this upgrade (which is windows 8.1 pro) I had no ssd's so now that I have this things should be faster and i should have no audio glitches like i did before.
Before this "upgrade" I could load this pc down with so much audio and plugins and it would fly no problem.
Now when I pull up a 28 track song with plugs in that I was working on before my meters for the cpu are in the red, audio is stuttering like crazy and it eventually stops the audio engine.
I believe I've done all the optimizing I can do. I've checked or unchecked what i can in Sonar preferences I have no idea what else to do about this.
Same problem with Sonar Platinum on this new setup (keeping it until I feel safe with the bandlab set up)

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Setup I have is in my signature

Is that the only project you've tested?  If so, you need to try another... Easy enough to load up one of the demo projects and see what happens. If it plays okay with a different project, then you know the problem is in the first one.

If it's acting up with every project, then you need to try and isolate the problem area - hardware or software?  Have you run latency monitor?  Check Windows error logs?

it looks like I have a cpu problem.
I swapped out the processor (an AMD FX8350) for my old Phenom II X6 1050T which is a 2.8ghz 6 core processor.
When putting the same song on with the most tracks and most plugins it ran all the way through, video was choppy as the timeline went through the track but it played audio nonstop. The temp went to a max of 54C, the cpu went up to 72% at times on this track.

The FX 8350 4ghz processor on this same track would dropout like crazy after reaching 42% on the cpu meter and a temp of 76C. I reapplied the thermal paste and it did keep it cooler for a while and it played for a longer period of time but still dropped out just before the 2 min mark of the track.
I've probably been running this processor for a few years at this temp and probably stressed the hell out of it now.

To me and I'm not an expert, but it looks like I need a new CPU and maybe i should go with a water cooler.
