I'm surprised that no one mentioned Grand Rhapsody by Waves.  I got it on sale for $29, not expecting much, and it turned out to be a gem.  You can control quite a few parameters, it has several piano models, and cuts through a mix.  Worth checking out.

Thanks for the tip. It's still on sale, now Memorial Day sale for $29 (There is a 24 hrs sale on Waves btw). I set out to check it out, but gave up during the process. It requires 8 GB on the system drive and 6/15 GB for the sample library, if I understood correctly. I unfortunately don't have that kind of drive space available at the moment. Nice price, but that makes me a bit skeptical as to how well it actually works. Doesn't look like a runaway success to me.
