Thanks for your response, sorry for the delay in getting back. Yes, that works. However, what I was kind of looking for was the function of the DXi I referenced above, where you would insert the plugin, select the note value (usually 1/4 notes) and sound, then just bounce to tracks and it would render a stereo or mono track the entire length of the song, reflecting any tempo changes, etc.. It eliminated the need to record in real time a click track for the entire duration of the song. A bit more elegant in my view and something that would be a good "new" feature within CbL. The workaround I came up with is to record a 1 bar 1/4 note hi hat midi clip, paste it the entire length of the song, insert a vsti drum source, assign the midi clip to that sound source and then render that. Still more time consuming than the ol' PingDxi approach....
