Arturia analog lab..........

Why oh why oh why oh why did I have to go and download the demo..........

I was perfectly happy not to have it before. Does anyone have it and if so is it real love or was it just a brief infatuation?

Does it ever go on sale?

It does come bundled with the Keylab 88 controller and I'm even considering that now......

Help me before it gets expensive.

I have it and it is a constant source of sound inspiration. I bought it at half price in the sales a while back when it was version 2.
The free upgrade to version 3 upped the keyboard count to 21 and preset count to over 6500.

All those sounds would be pointless without a good way of searching them and the browser makes it easy to home in on the sound you are looking for.

The presets do allow some degree of tweakability but you can also upgrade to the full V collection if you need ultimate control.
The upgrade was also recently on offer but didn’t bother as I am still quite happy with the sounds in AL3.

I bought it in October and I really love it. IMHO it is the best synth product on the market if you are mainly using factory presets (even there are limited change possibilities), because it includes the most colorful palette of sounds. Most other synths sound more or less the same when you have heard the first 20 factory presets.
Before I had bought the Jupiter 8 V from Arturia, because we had once a real one in our band a long time ago (some kind of nostalgic feeling). Because the software version was really a good copy of the original sound and as I said above I use most often factory presets, I was induced to snatch Analog Lab when it was on sale.

Thanks for the replies. I do like it a lot, but seeing as it seems to be thrown in with even their low rent midi controllers I figure that the current price is probably the high point of the pricing cycle. Almost cheaper buy a controller and get it "free". I'll keep an eye out for any sales and hopefully pick it up then.

I'm quite happy with not upgrading my Arturia V Collection to the latest version, since Analog Lab 3 has all the presets of the new synths. Hence? Go for it!

I bought one of their controller keyboards a few months back. About a month after I registered it, they send me an offer to get the full V Collection for half price. I jumped on it and haven't regretted it one bit.

Analog Lab is great. Since I have all the instruments I find I use Analog lab mostly for its browser. When I'm writing or flushing out ideas, Analog Lab is great for quickly finding something close that will work for what I'm doing. But when it comes time to actually record the track I like having all the instrument plugs available. I usually reference the Analog Lab patch I used on the demo and then load that patch in the instrument plug and tweak or modify the patch from there to get it perfect.

another happy customer here.

I was auditioning Analog Lab, and about to buy it when the entire V collection (version 2) went on sale. I bought it. I love it. They are not the last word in emulations, but they are really good. The weak spot is the pianos, but the synths are fun!

If you love exquisite renderings of unique grands or you like to tinker with them, it’s Pianoteq all the way. Above all, they “feel” amazingly real when you play.

I prefer the Arturia pianos over the Pianotek stuff.
