There is an option to not trigger notes on PRV?

When I'm painting notes in PRV using the freehand, line pencil or holding ALT Gr, Cakewalk trigger the notes causing me a headache. Is there a way to not audition notes?
Thank you

The quick and dirty way would be to mute the track.

Given that you can click on a PRV Mute button for the track, I'm not sure how it could get easier than a one-click solution? You could also use remote control on the Mute button and use something like the topmost keyboard key or moving the mod wheel. Or a footswitch.
