Adaptive Limiter

Hey guys,

Anyone know where I can get the Adaptive Limiter that was included with Sonar Cakewalk Professional? It was the same style as the LP EQ and the LP MB which I can download stand alone from the old website. I just need this plugin back if possible as I've used it on some old arrangements I'm now reloading.

Thanks
Matt

The plug-in is part of the Engineering FX Suite. While the plug-in works in CbB; the Engineering FX Suite installer checks for a SONAR Professional or Platinum installation. Make sure Professional is installed before running the Engineering FX Suite installer.

    Ah thanks for that!

Can it be uninstalled once installed to allow the Engineering FX Suite?

    Thanks

I have no idea. For now, BandLab recommends leaving SONAR installed to use all the bundled plug-ins in CbB. If I had to uninstall (I have X2, X3, several versions of Platinum and CbB installed on my 250GB system drive), I would rename the folder containing Professional and see if the plug-in still works before uninstalling. But this only tests if this folder is needed for the plug-in to run. There may be a dependence on something not in the Professional program folder possibly a registry entry or a file somewhere else.

I had a severe system crash which forced me to bite the bullet and rebuild my studio computer from the ground up.  I did not reinstall SPLAT, but did install Bandlab.  I want to avoid clutter.

I do miss that adaptive limiter.  It seemed to have a richness that was better than Concrete Limiter.  I wish Bandlab would offer this.  I'd be happy to pay a fair price for the plug-in.

After buying the L16 by Wave's and realizing that this limiter only outputs a 24 bit file - no matter what! Which makes the plug next to useless...I would now say that The Adaptive limiter is the best limiter out there. It takes a bit to get use to...the settings, but just love it. And plus one for a release so it could be used in another DAW.
