How do I Share Drivers With Other Programs?

Yes. Question is: How do I Share Drivers With Other Programs?
Should be under "Playback and Recording" in prefs. -Not there anymore.

In CbB the option is more properly named "Suspend Audio Engine When Cakewalk Is Not in Focus" as this is what the old option did. Very few programs use the ASIO driver and users often changed this setting when it was not necessary such as playing video and audio in web browsers or other windows playback programs. Browsers and most Windows programs use other drivers and most playback problems are caused trying to run at different sample rates not driver sharing.

If you want to actually share your audio device between two DAWs running concurrently, you can set Cakewalk to use WASAPI, and the other to ASIO, as only one program can use ASIO at a time.

DAW: CbB; Sonar Platinum, and others ...
