Thanks. Got me to check for updates. And there was one, from v6.51 to v6.70. The Registrar (registry manager) home version was also updated from v8.01 to v8.04.

Thanks. Your comment got me to check also, and I was still running v6.50, LOL!

Their WhoCrashed is also useful too, it lets you explore a blue screen crash dump.  Thankfully I haven't needed that lately.

I, too, was unaware of the update. Change log here. I see they fixed the bug wherein the CPU speed was always displayed as 1 MHz.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I tried another little tool from Resplendence, called "WhySoSlow".

It's pretty cool!  Worth a look!

The software monitors and analyzes your CPU temperature and clock speed, running processes, memory usage, page file usage, disk fragmentation, power settings, kernel and application responsiveness, behavior of BIOS and drivers and several other factors that may have influence on the performance and responsiveness of your system.

Upon request, the software will perform a thorough analysis and provide you with a detailed report that includes suggestions on how to improve your systems performance and responsiveness.
