It depends on which sequencer they are going to use to play back the keys tracks.
If it is ableton live you can have a section for intro, verse , chorus and bridge etc hence if the keys parts are just for the chorus to can just record the parts for the chorus and the person will have to import the same at the chorus section in their song, however you need to know the tempo of the song so it lines up perfectly.
If there are know intro verse, and chorus section you would need to record the keys parts and leave the silence at the beginning and the parts will line up perfectly with the song. again you would have to establish the tempo so everything can line up as intended.
