Soupy Surf (Surf Instrumental??)

As it says on my SoundClick site, I have been traveling down memory lane and listening to some rockabilly, raunchy-rock, and surf instrumentals.  Some of this stuff can be pretty primitive and some can be outstanding but it is all very cool.

This has encouraged me to again get out of my comfort zone and try coming up with a surf instrumental.  As always I would appreciate comments, crit's, suggestions, etc. on this first attempt at surf music.

Thanks

Freddy! Loved this one! Takes me right back to Southern Calif mid-60s.
There seemed to be some sync issues or something here and there, maybe with the drums or some delay fx?
    Whatever, very grooovy.

Very well done.  Sounded authentic to me, and a really nice piece of work there.

Thanks Anthony and I won't get mad.

Hey Jesse.  Thanks for listening.  I appreciate the kind comments.

Hi Bjorn.  I am glad that you liked this one.  I went back and listened to this number and doggone if you weren't right.  There is an issue and I think that it is in the drum fills.  I use loops and sometimes, if I am not careful, they will double copy.  I will have to go back to the working file and see if I can figure it out.  Thanks again.

Hi Bill.  Thank you.  I really appreciate the very kind comments.

Thank you Tim.  I listened to a lot of the old surf instrumentals.  Hopefully, I captured some of that old early '60's feel.

Hey Ramscapri.  I very much appreciate your listening and thanks for the kind comments.  I'm glad that you liked it.

Brilliant.  Sounds like the Ventures meet the Chantays.  The spring reverb on the guitar is a great touch!

Thank you Daryl.  I really appreciate that you listened to it and thanks for the kind comments.

Hi Mark.  I listened to a lot of old and new surf instrumentals (mostly old -- circa early 1960's) trying to capture the sound and style.  Thanks for listening and for the encouragement.

Thanks John.  So many good groups at that time -- the Surfaries, Chantays, Vice Barons, and even the Trashmen.  Thanks again for the kind words.

Hey Reece.  Back in the late '70's the B52's played at the Tampa Jai Alai.  They were great and the crowd certainly got into it.  Thank you very much for listening and the kind comments.

Love that throwback moment I just had (thank you!)..
    Fun stuff..

Now if only you could get a dance named after it (do the soupy surf)?
and a throwback movie, I'll be just fine.
I'll even settle for this one being the back drop for one of those vintage car shows..
    Love all that!

Hi Olivier.  Thanks for listening and commenting!  I did have a lot of fun doing this one.

Hey thank you Arlen.  I like your idea about a dance called "Soupy Surf".  However, given that I can't dance worth a diddly, I better leave that to those that can.  Thanks again!

Hi Dennis.  Thank you for the kind words.  There is a bit a bit of a Pete Gunn feel to this.  BTW, the "Music from Peter Gunn" and "More Music from Peter Gunn" albums are two of my most favourite albums ever.

Hi Allan.  I am glad that you liked this little number.  Thanks for the encouragement!!!
