Is Izabella one of your goldfish?
Sorry, I'm just in an unusually good mood today.  Must be because it's the 4th.  Yeah, nice tune.  I especially like the sound of the acoustic guitar.  Everything is nicely balanced and mixed and the song has a catchy and infectious beat.  This is meant in a good way-Your voice reminds me of Davy Jones (Monkees), especially in the tune that plays after "Izabella".

Cool song - I really liked your vocal.  The drums sound great - nice job on the mix.  I would bring up the BGVs on the chorus to give it more distinction there.

Thanks John...yes of course, all my songs are about my goldfish. I had to let this one go in a pond at my parents house. She was somewhat of a trouble maker. ;)

And thanks Doug...have made small adjustments including the BGV you suggested.

I would bring up the background vox in the first chorus. Also, around 1:32 it sounds like you hit a sour note on the guitar and then tried to bend your way out of it, which kind of worked, but if it isn't too much trouble, I think I would try to overdub that one. Otherwise, I thought it was a good song that was recorded and mixed very well.

Geez Wayfarer, I dunno what to tell you...not only can I not hear any flubbed note at 1:32 or anywhere else, but I can assure you, there is no flubbed note! There's certainly some note bending in that solo, but it's all exactly how I intended it...and to my ears sounds fine. Thanks for your comments, of course, though.

Listening again, I can see where that was just something to create some tension, so my mistake.

Good mix, good tune. Do I hear subtle vibes in the background? Nice touch. I think you could sort out what is going on in the bgv dept. Bring some up or delete some? A touch of knopfler in the guitars, very nice!

Thanks Mr Soul...yeah those BGV...all of them except the ones on the last chorus are ok I feel...I only wanted them very subtle...but the ones on the last chorus sing different words and I haven't been able to get much clarity/ ineligibility out of them. There's a number of things all kind of competing...it's not horrific but it is a tad busy. Two options...leave them or go in and start thinning out that section of the song so that fewer instruments are playing.

Over on the left there, there's acoustic guitar rhythm, glockenspiel, piano...then the BGV trying to sit on top. So it's a bit busy. There's lead guitar, acoustic, a rhodes vst and electric guitar rhythm over on the right...so, yeah.

Thanks mate a really neat little track and very catchy ( been humming it around the kitchen this am ) ... I can see what Bill meant but it's no great deal overall (In that I wouldn't have noticed otherwise), however I agree with the comment from Doug as it's only a small change to the mix but it may sprinkle a little more gold to a great song.

Love the lyrics and your voice I think you've nailed your style

Mix comes across here OK, not hearing any flubbed notes but my furry ears may well be tired as the hound decided I should get up in the wee small hours as she was feeling a tad warm, been in the high teens degrees C over night here.

Thanks for listening. A couple of small changes and that'll be it I think. I'm between audio devices at the moment so can't do anything.

Nice!   You definitely have a style... sorta retro/old school but with modern qualities.  I likes it.

Another catchy tune with a great arrangement and a solid mix.  Keep it comin'...

Thanks Steve. Listening back it sounds like the vocal is a little underwhelming especially in the verses. Along with mixing etc singing is on my list to improve. Be that as it may I thought the vocal was a tad low so I upped it a bit.

    Thanks for all the feedback
