Lexicon Pantheon (x64) crashes CbB on closing project..

I have loved using Lexicon Pantheon since it came with sonar 8/8.5.  I have it in a ton of projects and an interesting thing has happened.  About a year ago, with SPLAT, it suddenly started to crash/freeze Sonar on closing a project that was using it.  I'm not sure if it was a Win 10 update or Sonar, unfortunately.  It would freeze before taking me back to the Start Screen, requiring a reboot to get Sonar running again.  It took me a long time to figure out it was the Lexicon Pantheon plugin.  Work arounds are: disengage Pantheon, save project before closing project, OR, with the project still open, open another blank project, then close the original project, then close the blank project.  I dealt with it, esp since Sonar was dead.

Fast forward to last week:  I find out CbB saved the day, Cakewalk is alive and well again!  I install CbD with no problems at all!  I load up old projects with Pantheon and they close out fine!  Hurray!!  A couple days ago, I tried out Melodyne on a track, but it initially gave me a lot of issues, almost crashing (program seemed to freeze, but patience brought it back).  Ever since then, Pantheon is crashing CbB on closure the exact same way (with the exact same work around)...  Any thoughts?

Thanks - Patrick

When did the Lexicon Pantheon (x64) become a 64 bit plugin? I have tons of 32 bit CWP's with the Lexicon and they open fine in 32 bit Splat but in 64 bit Splat and Bandlab they are missing plugins. I transitioned from 32 bit to 64 bit about 2.5 years ago. I use Breverb now for 64 bit.

The 64bit stereo Pantheon was bundled with every 64bit version of SONAR Producer through 8.5. If the plug-in crashes project on exit, it might be time to stop using the plug-in before it prevents projects from loading.

Yhe surround Pantheon was 32bit DX only. The surround version (which worked on stereo tracks too) was the preferred version. Projects using the 32bit surround version will not automatically use the stereo 64bit DX plug-in.

I didn't start using 64 bit Sonar until Splat, so I never installed the 64 bit 8.5. So if I install the 64 bit 8.5 just the plugins, will I be able to use that instead of the 32 bit Lexicon?

The reason I'm asking is because whenever I open any old 32 bit projects that use the lexicon reverb, I have to open 32 bit Splat, whereas if I can manually substitute the 64 bit Lexicon for the 32 bit then I can open that old project in CbB.

Based on the OP, the stereo 64bit Lexicon Pantheon still loads (and replace 32bit instances of the same plug-in) but may crash when exiting the project. I have not installed plug-ins not included in the X-Series or newer in some time.
