Mixing With Waves Gold bundle-Groove3.

Hi,

If you, like me, found impossible to refuse the last Waves offer of the gold bundle for 129.
And if you don't have a Groove3 subscription, and are not in the Groove3 mailing list, this is for you.

During the month of July, Groove3 is offering 60% off for all their video tutorials.

I was so glad to find Eli Krantzberg's "Mixing With Waves Gold bundle".
The best 16 bucks ever spent. It costs 40 usually.

I get to look over the shoulder of an expert using a big portion of the Gold bundle.
And learn lots of mixing techniques.

One small thing though, Eli Krantzberg includes in his Mix a R-VOX which is not included in the current Gold bundle.
Maybe it was before, but hey… the Gold bundle was waaaaay more expensive.
Anyway there are, in the bundle, more than a couple of compressors that can be used instead.

If you are like me, still scratching your head making your way into this massive avalanche of 40 plugins, Eli Krantzberg's tutorial  is a big help.

I took part in that offer the last time Groove3 had the sale.

I too took advantage of as many mixing videos as I could.

Then, I saw that Groove 3 had the Mixing Bundle offer later where 5 or 6 videos were bundled at $30.00 total.
I was mad at first , but I said what the heck it was still a good bundled offer .The good thing about bundled offer was, if Groove3 saw that I already owned a video that was part of the Mixing Bundle offer, they would allow me to substitute the video for another mixing video I did not own.   Nice

Peace,

Got it, thanks Jazzy2040 for the heads up.

Think I watched this before my sub ran out but still worthwhile owning to be able to check it out anytime.

Thanks also Jesse for the information. I will know what to do if the bundle reappears.

I have a sub but was unaware of the Gold Bundle tuts. Having Eli do them is icing on the cake.
Thanks for the heads up.

I find that I get more out of videos by watching them more than once. It's like I can sit over this guys shoulder over and over and learn! And I usually pick up something every time I watch.

I have a few G3 videos in my account. For me, to buy them out right (when on their fantastic sales) is the way to go.

Yep, I spent a few days REALLY following this course by Eli a couple of years back. I typed up notes and took screen shots of the plugins as I went and saved it all as a Word doc. I refer back to it from time to time. It really sank in with me, actually taking the time to study this course, rather than watch purely for entertainment.

Never thought of this. Great idea! Will definitely use this. Mostly for the 'save for later' factor. You could place flags on parts and once you get lots of these together, you have your 'advisor' always close at hand. Stick a copy on a USB stick and your 'advisor team' could travel with you!!

All videos I watch will have a Word document open.

I'm pretty ignorant in the mixing area. I found it odd to use 2 compressors on a track.

You do this so that one comp isn't overworking itself therefore you can obtain smoother compression. At least that's what I use it for and try to attain! For me it's all about trying to keep them transients in the original form, just not peaking so much.
