Anyone know what these files are?

In the song folder I have the .cwp, the autosave.cwp, the Audio folder and a few strange temp files.

They're not very big and they all start with MFC but the rest is different for each file: i.e MFCBFC.tmp, MFCAJQ.temp

Anyone know what they are? They look like remnants of some operation that failed - just curious, I deleted them with no ill effect.

Thanks - rev

Older Cakewalk audio files look similar but have .wav extension.

    That would be my guess.
I'd just delete them and carry on

I did just delete them and carry on. Yes my projects were crashing! I'm a Sonar 8.5.3 user (the revered version!) but I was also checking out Studio One and I needed Cubase - so I was trying to juggle 3 DAWs and all the plugs.

That got me into so much trouble I ended up wiping the disk. All is well.
