Strum 2 - guitar soft synth - any tips?

Strum 2 soft synth is a great plugin for guitar parts. It's a little tricky and awkward to use in real time, so I was wondering if there were some that use it that would share some tips.

There are are 3 modes keyboard, Guitar, and Loop. I'm really talking about tips on the Guitar mode and I'm using it for acoustic guitar rhythm parts. To play something in real time you have to play your right hand a little ahead of the beat and the left hand right on the beat. Little tricky and lots of glitches to fix

So anyone that uses it a lot, I'd like to know your techniques, so I can get quicker at it

Tutorial 3 in the Groove3 Strum 2 series does a far better job of explain the Guitar mode than I ever could.

I buy an annual Groove3 pass each year during Black Friday, so I can't tell what the individual cost of the Strum 2 series is.
