Latency with Presonus Audiobox USB

Hoping someone has a suggestion. I recently found that the Universal Controller for the Audiobox USB wasn't showing me options, so I updated it. Prior to the update everything was okay, I've been using the Audiobox for years, after the update I'm getting latency that I can't seem to fix. I've been in touch with them, and followed their directions, updated again, uninstalled, reinstalled, Worked my way down the block size options, I'm down to the lowest, block size 16, all my efx racks are bypassed, and I'm still getting just enough latency to make recording something with any attack impossible. Presonus has given up, said they can't help anymore with Sonar, maybe with Studio 1... Any suggestions within Sonar that may help?

    HI there:)

I've installed first the newest UC drivers but then the VSL Software for direct Monitoring isn't there anymore and the latency is much higher with the new3 drivers, I wrote this in Presonus forum!

Now I've installed the "old" Driver 1.3 with the VSL Software and with 64 buffers I have a latency at about 0.4 msec. within CbB! With the newest drivers UC 2.x over 5 msec.!

So much better to install the old drivers with the VSL mixer!

They are working perfectly in Win 10 1803 and I hope for a few years in the future.......I like that Audiobox very much for monitoring with FX, recording with fat channel XT....

Hi. I would also suggest rolling back the driver to the previous version.

Thanks, I rolled back to the very earliest they have available (which was labeled 1.3 on the website but installed as 2.2, weird) and it doesn't fix the issue... is there a particular version that works best or a setting on Sonar I'm missing? I've recorded 4 albums with this exact set up and I've had latency issue in the past but have always been able to fix it.

I installed 2.5 and that seems to be helping, wish I had time to test it more, but I will later.
