SOLVED: PRV: Vertical dotted line missing from cursor location

The Piano Roll View used to have a vertical line under the cursor that was a really easy way to tell what the current snapping regime was, and where something was going to go when you clicked/dragged.. but it's gone... not sure why.. any ideas?

The 'Now' time is still there, but i mean the line that used to follow the cursor around when you were editing.

in the 'view' menu I have 'show vertical gridlines' checked but that makes no difference
