Really like the music and especially the guitar work. Well mixed, but the bass guitar had a frequency that kind of drilled into my brain. (Aluminium dust caps maybe?) Bill

Nice dry upfront vocal. I like it. Solo is nice. DnB go together like rice and beans. Pi Annie is naiz too. Song structure is right on. Oh yeah, and I like it too.

Nice one y'all!!! It has a touch of a Beatles (Mcartney) flavour (at least to me). Nice performance , production, and I too like those dry vocals. Well done!!!

Bill - Thanks for listening and commenting. (No aluminum dust caps were harmed in the making of this recording). bapu Nice dry upfront vocal. I like it. Solo is nice. DnB go together like rice and beans. Pi Annie is naiz too. Song structure is right on. Oh yeah, and I like it too.
Bapu - Thanks for listening and for the nice comments (I had to think about what you meant by pi-annie--I'm a little slow sometimes I guess). You said so much in so few words. I appreciate it. eph221 you be jahmin
Eph221 - Thanks - It was fun...glad you liked it. Freddy J Nice one y'all!!! It has a touch of a Beatles (Mcartney) flavour (at least to me). Nice performance , production, and I too like those dry vocals. Well done!!!
Freddy J - Thanks for the listen. I take the "Beatles flavor" as a great compliment. I wasn't consciously thinking of them, but I guess their influence is ubiquitous in my musical DNA. Mike and Reece helped me a great deal in getting the mix right, and they gave me some great tracks to work with. I'm glad you enjoyed it. MarkusClinus This is superb. You guys put together a great piece of music - love all of it.
MarkusClinus - Thanks for taking the time to listen. This was really fun to do, and it is a great blessing when others enjoy listening.

thanks again, everyone! I have to admit this wasn't my favorite song, but once I started playing those piano parts it just all came together for me! Hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did putting it together!

i dig this tune! but the mix sounds strange to me. like it's coming out of the end of a big tube. might just be the overall eq at mastering stage? don't know,

Batsbrew - Thanks for listening and for the helpful critique. I am pleased that you like the song (better a good song and problem mix than the other way around, I figure). We're looking at the mix to try and figure out what you're hearing. Hopefully, we will post an improved mix soon. daryl1968 Lovely

I'm back in the 60s again! Sorta Bonzo Dog meets the Beatles for a jam ... mix really does need a little love though but your right with your observation (better a good song and problem mix than the other way around).

It's been a while... I've been working on the mix, with Mike and Reece's help. I am posting the latest mix. I wouldn't say the changes are dramatic, though I did redo the lead vox. Hopefully this mix is an improvement. I'm starting to like this British Dance Hall style. Of course, Beatles, so coolness right there. Hey that was a tasty guitar solo. I'd look a little at the bgv's, they are there but don't seem to add much. They are not very loud. The lead vocal is plenty up front, and to my taste, could use a little processing, maybe just a touch of slapback delay, or something in the light microshifting dept. . . . that free Izotope doubler might be worth a try. I dunno. It's not like it's broken the way it is. Just a thought. vocal delivery certainly doesn't lack energy and interest, very well done there. cheers! -Tom

Hi Tom, I appreciate your taking the time to listen to the song and for your kind words. Because of some comments on another forum, I was on the fence about the guitar solo. I tried playing something else, but nothing seemed to work. So your comment has helped me be more at ease about it. About the BGVs -- we (the collaborators) haven't discussed that yet. But we will, I'm sure, and necessary adjustments may be made. On the lead vox -- I just got the vocal doubler for free, so I may try that and see how it goes. I usually like to go light on vocal effects, so we'll see how that works. Thanks again, Sean

Well done. Oddball tune with a wacky (but appropriate) vocal . All playing is terrific. I could see this playing as ending credits roll on some obscure indy film. Very original - a modern day Sopwith Camel.
