I really liked the variations in this as played under the constant vocal. Guitar playing is well done. The reverb/delay took me back a little but after another listen I decided it fits the tune very well. I can tell you weren't monkeying around here

Lovely song and everything fit really well. Enjoyed vocals....recorded/mixed very well. Very nice guitar work James....a bit of Mark Knopfler mixed in there.

Thanks Mesh! Funny you should mention MK, his guitar on Romeo & Juliet was a direct inspiration for the original chord sequence (although it sounds nothing like it!)

What a pleasant song to listen to (my sentence structure is horrible though).  This is a song that really presents a lot ---- great lyrics and vocals, great arrangement and instrumentation, and the mix is clear as a bell.
Excellent stuff gentlemen!!!

Good one, gents.   A really clean production as per usual, with lots of hooky lines and stuff floating in and out (is that an organ or something else?).   I also liked the tremolo guitar parts and how they sat in the mix.    Overall just a great piece of pure pop goodness.

James and Daryl - this is just fantastic - one of the best collabs I've heard hear. I tip my hat to both of you.

Wow, very cool in every way. Interesting instrumentation, great sounds (is that a synth bass? If not, what kind and how did you record it- it’s got so much punch and clarity). Vocals are excellent. Very pro sounding. It has a strange 80s pop thing - I mean that in a good way. I wish I could make such clean, well balanced recordings - awesome job.

Played on my keyboard
It's one of the NI basses for Kontakt. Not at home and I can't remember which.
