Creating an MP3

I am unable to export an MP3 from Sonar. I've been reading through the index and the window that pops up when I try to do it says I need to upgrade the Encoder or purchase a new one. Apparently, there are many different kinds of encoders. How would I know which one to get? Or, am I missing something and there is an easier way to create MP3's?
