VStudio 700 legit driver

Is there any news for the vs-700 legit driver? I would like to know if Band lab has any plan to work on it or I should let my gear go in Craigslist?

Meng indicated BandLab has a still new in the box VS-700.  He said he hopes the driver can be updated once things settle down some.  However he did not provide any timetable when that might happen.

The V-Studio worked with Sonar last time I checked, but you need to mod the driver. I thought it would be difficult, but it's not.

The first 3 books in "The Musician's Guide to Home Recording" series are available from Hal Leonard and http://www.reverb.com. Listen to my music on http://www.YouTube.com/thecraiganderton, and visit http://www.craiganderton.com. Thanks!

Yes, but it needs some improvements. Most of the Sonar crashes are related to the vs700 driver issue due to the crash report.

I use VS-700 set on latest updated Windows 10 Pro through modified VS700-win8 driver.
There is no specific issue when using it.
I hope more specific function tuned driver for new Meng's official driver.

There's no official news currently. I did set up the VS-700 at office in Singapore while I was there a couple weeks ago using the driver installer tweak. The drivers are still owned by Roland though so without acquiring those we wouldn't be able to modify/distribute them.

Roland abandoned us, don't know why a driver couldn't just be created. I understand legal issues but if someone is drowning does that man we can't save them unless we can find the old "lifesaver" to throw at them because the new one isn't owned by the shipping company? lol

I have considered getting a Windows 7 based Platinum Studio just to run the V 700 Hardware. Guessing that current versions of Cakewalk buy bandlab will work fine. Don't know if it's worth the effort as I'm having no problems with the Windows 10 machine.

The Windows 10 driver hack works fine.  It's a bit of a hassle to install but not as difficult as I thought it would be.  There's a whole sticky thread about how to do it.

I haven't been using my VS-700 rack unit anymore.  I originally replaced it because of the driver issues, but when I finally had that noisy fan out of my studio...I couldn't go back.  I really missed the built-in Fantom, though, so I replaced it with a rack mounted Fantom XR.  It's basically the exact same synth.  It's a bit older now but still sounds fantastic.  I don't hate having an actual front panel for it, either, although I miss the integrated VST.

I still use and love the VS-700 console.  It remains by far the best control surface available for Cakewalk.  It doesn't work so great with other DAWs (although it does work), but for Cakewalk it's awesome.

I'm hanging onto the whole system for now.  Even though I'm not currently using the rack, it's still my favorite interface.  If it wasn't for the fan noise, I'd still be using it.  I may yet use it for certain projects, like mobile recording to laptop.  It's a shame it doesn't work with an iPad!

The hack hasn't given me full function on mine so I've eliminated it from my setup for the time being. Tried a few different times to get everything working but to no avail. :\

Ugh, bummer!  Well, let's hope BandLab eventually comes up with something for us.  I know they've mentioned it, so...we'll see.
