Old MIDI files to TTS-1 - How?

I have several MIDI files that were originally created using Roland 8850 via older versions of Sonar.
When I load one of these files into Sonar Professional v23.8.0 I can't figure out how to get those MIDI files to play through the TTS-1 and from there to my audio interface (Steinberg UR44).
Any help for my crumbling brain cells would be much appreciated :)

SONAR X3 and newer will automatically setup TTS-1 when loading a MIDI file as long as there are no MIDI output devices enabled in SONAR Preferences. Note: this feature only works with MIDI files NOT SONAR project files. In the case of SONAR projects, either first save the projects as MIDI files or manually add TTS-1 to the project and while holding the CTRL key set the output of the MIDI tracks to TTS-1.

    Load TTS-1.
Select all tracks you want to go to TTS-1.
Click on the output of any one of the tracks (midi) and while holding control change that midi- out to TTS-1.
    All tracks should follow suit.
