Mackie Control (the plug-in itself, functionality, etc.) was not changed since 8.5

Yes, it works fine in CbB in Mackie Mode using CbB's standard Mackie Control surface plugin. As azslow3 says, it's not changed in a long time.

Also, 2 x BCF2000 work fine with one set as a Mackie Control, and one set as a Mackie Control XT. You just need to remember to click the "Configure Layout" button on the Mackie Control control surface dialog, and turn chan 1 pot clockwise one click to set that BCF2000 to control channels 9-16. Once you save this as your default preset, it'll remember this for future projects.
