Lots of envelopes slowing down display

Got this warning yesterday and clicked yes, without reading it. Basically there are lots of dotted line envelopes for all these effects, is there any way to turn it off? Edit: sorry, found what I was looking for, had to uncheck display ghosted data under view above the track window.
