The Love You're Given

This is a cover of a Jack Garratt song -- if you are not familiar with the original, check out his live version here.  Remarkable stuff.

I am still making some tweaks, so please let me know any adjustments you think are necessary.  Thanks for listening!

Laid back contemporary song makes for a relaxed listen. Couple of things that didn't work for me
at 1:01 the little drum fill seemed to come out of nowhere
about 1:05 the panning effect was a bit distracting
Except for those minor quibbles I think you have a really good song.

Well, I'm sorry that it wasn't there when I clicked on your link, but I heard it some days ago on your HUMMINGBIRD CINEMA site.  Btw, in case you don't know, I go to your site frequently because I think you are one of the best songwriters going.  I often just start at the top and listen all the way through.  All I can say is that when this song was up, I enjoyed it very much, as well as the new songs that you've posted.  Keep it going!

    All the best,
    Lynn

Thanks for your kind words, Lynn. I had switched the song to private so i could fix the issues mentioned by Bjorn.  I've switched it back so the link should work but am still working to fix it over the weekend.  Love your stuff so it means a lot.

Bjorn and Daryl, thanks for weighing in.  Spent a lot of time on it so it is nice to get the feedback.

Yeah I check out Hummingbird Cinema as well. I like how modern this sounds but gives full respect to good songwriting. Cool as hell chords.

Nicely done! Plenty of dynamics in this and it ebbs and flows very nicely!

Nice chillout tune. I enjoyed the listen. Nice mix. I usually listen at 25% volume. This is set just right for medium volume listens and that's a good thing.
