the Galtieri Brothers Ride Again
the Galtieri Brothers previously a trio is now reduced to the solitary songwriting figure of paulo. my latest effort 'lies of love' is linked below and is a song about the lies we tell when in love but the truth we find in the end. any comments or suggestions are appreciated + all musical shortcomings are mine. giddy up! paul lies of love

Hi, Paul, It's great to see you back on the forum again! You've got a great sounding pop rocker here, with excellent songwriting, well thought out lyrics and dynamite musicianship! The instrumental performances were really well done and the vocals were perfect for the genre. The mix is fresh and modern sounding, and really well textured with radio-ready clarity. Excellent work, my friend, have a great weekend! Bob

Paul You have that pop sound going and it sounds good. You write really good lyrics too. I think I'd drop that sort of bongo drum track. When it ends in verse 3 you almost have a different song, a better one IMO.

Thanks Bob, its good to be back. The activity feed on BandLab is a bit of a head rush so I thought I'd come back to the clearer air of the forum for some better views and advice. Thanks for the kind comments. Thanks Wookie, the picture is of cows on a relatives farm in Ireland. The comments from your furry ears are very much appreciated. Thanks Bjorn, thanks for the idea of dropping the bongo track - I'll give it a go and see how it feels. Thanks again for collaborating; a new thing for you and me both. Kind Regards paul

Yeah it sounds good on my headphones, especially the chorus part opens wide. It's not my genre but the production is great :)

This is a really cool pop tune - I liked your voice and I enjoyed the lyrics. I also enjoyed that lead synth in the background - nice touch there. The chorus is a good hook - well done. The mix overall sounds good to me.

Good tune, sorry you lost your other brothers, but you are all right on your own . Niiiiice catchy chorus!!!!! Great little guitar arpegg to support it. I agree, the bongos could come in and out more, as opposed to near constant. Maybe just during the choruses? cooooool. -Tom

The song is great as is the playing and production. Sounds a bit thin on the bottom end, like maybe increase your bass a bit. John B.

Quite nice. Very bubbly as pop should be. Vocal is nice and clear and well performed. Mix sounds good to me. I agree with John B , a bit more bottom would be nice. Good stuff.

Sounds real good Paul. Vocals are nice and thick like they should be. I always assume women are lying to me. Makes me feel better about myself when I'm hitting on other women though, so it's all good. Bill

Hi Paul, You have got a great pop song going here! The melody is a real stick-in-your-head grabber. Your vocals are excellent - great timing and delivery - as are the harmonies. You have strong hooks that should attract all listeners. The mix is also very good. I don't know if this is your first effort as a solo but it is doggone good!

This manages to tell a tough reality in a soft acceptable way. Going high on "lies" was an interesting musical way to bring that harsh reality to the surface, yet it doesn't seem so harsh when sang in that way. Overall a pleasant listen. You guys have a fresh light sound that manages to pull me into it.
