Bandlab deactivated

So sorry if this has already been addressed somewhere. Took me by surprise and couldn't find any recent mention.

Bandlab now reverted to the demo mode with notification that I have to sign in again and do whatever is needed to reactivate. Bandlab full version expired. Dump happened on two computers at the same time.

Can vaguely remember a discussion several months ago about an expiration date on Bandlab. Consensus was, and support from the new devs that this was a fluke and not to worry. Bandlab will never expire on you.

I have no grounds to complain, and not complaining. After all, they salvaged the thing and kept it alive with periodic updates and fixes. Could have charged full price to continue.

Is Bandlab a software with an internal timeclock set to dump and deactivate on a specific date. Maybe could be win 10 updates that destroyed something, but think we are dealing with an extended evaluation period with the program set to crash. All is well until the rules or price changes to get the next 6 months use of some full version.

I thought CbB requires you login to your Bandlab account using the BandLab Assistant at least monthly (not sure on the time frame) otherwise the software will deactivate until you login again.

Where did you hear this?  I haven't heard of this information, and I've not logged into my BLAssistant for some time, yet my software keeps working.  If this is true, it would be good to know.

    All the best,

Not sure what the validation cycle is but pretty sure it is not monthly. Can't say for sure how long as the updates are less than 2 months apart. If connecting with BA does not resolve the issue, post the error codes from the about screen. They are in parentheses to the right of the serial number. They also appear in the Demo toast.

    Thanks Scook,
Been awhile since I was connected with BA. I'm sure getting back online will fix the issue.
    Will report back.
