No levels in GT2

I hope someone has some suggestions to help me out....

I just replaced my sound card with the E-MU 0404. The card seems to work fine. When I plug in my guitar, I get levels in the e-mu dsp program and I can hear it through the speakers. The problem is that I get no levels in GT2.0. I've got the track set to record. The input is set correctly. The record option lists the e-mu card as the input device. But it just doesn't receive the signal. I also get no signal if I try to use the built-in tuner, which makes me think Cakewalk is not recognizing the incoming signal. Any suggestions?
