automation envelope remains after rendering effects
When I render audio effects on a track which has automation applied to a plugin, the envelope remains.
Example: I have a third party EQ inserted on a track; I automate the gain of a particular frequency, which thereby creates an EQ gain automation envelope for that plugin; I render the effects by using the “Apply Audio Effects” function (Process > Apply Effect > Audio Effects); the rendering is applied and the EQ plugin disappears from the tracks insert – all as it should be... but the envelope remains on the track. The envelope is inactive and cannot be designated an automation lane, and I can’t get rid of it.
Am I missing something? Is there a ‘delete envelope after render’ option hiding somewhere that I haven’t checked?
I realize that the “Apply Audio Effects” process doesn’t apply to track volume, or track pan envelopes, etc. but the plugin EQ automation has definitely been applied and there is no need for the envelope anymore.
