Drum's

Hallo Folks, I am looking for drum software, nothing major, just for a basic rock rythems for my tunes. Can some one point me in the right direction, needles to say Im a rookie at this recording stuff. ....thoroughly enjoying it though...have a
few ideas recorded already but they sound awful with my home made percussion efforts.

Any help at all would be appreciated.

Cheers
FRu

I really like the drumatic cd for straight rock grooves. the only thing it doesnt have is single shots for each drum, but other than that it works great.

Hi, check out Mick Fleetwoods "Total Drumming" CD from SonicFoundry. Easy to use drag and drop. Awesome ACIDIZED loops and single hits so you can build yor own loops if so inclined. Very cool stuff. Zmoon

Check out SessionLoops' Drum Foundations discs. They're fully Riff/Acid optimized.
    http://www.sessionloops.com/html/vol_1_stereo_loops.html

It's Simon Phillips who's played with everyone from Jeff Back to The Who. The loops sound better to me than most - more real, more live acoustic...
They've also started offering loops pay-per-download, so you don't have to buy the whole disc all at once...

    Hi,

Pro Drum Works is the BIG brother to Drumatic. You get LOTS more loops, and all the individual drum and cymbal hits at multiple velocities. A huge collection of drum loops. CW is having a special on PDW now.

If you are looking for something just to get started you can use fruityloops which is included in the Guitar traks pro CD. I took a bunch of individual drum hit samples from the cd and put them into the fruity samples folder. It is not the most versatile solution but if you want something now that has an eay learing curve - go Fruity.
