Bypassing all FX Bins

To continue this discussion on a new thread,... Since it is really essential for us UAD-1 users to disable all UAD-1 Efx before we record (due to delay compensation) there oughta be a way to globally bypass all efx, track AND bus/ aux. For me it would even be a whole lot easier to put a key-binding on "bypass efx bin", but as far as I could see there is no way to do that either.
Again, optimally, we ought to be able to disable all efx w/ one button or keystroke.

Seems to me that If it was that important to the UAD-1 users that the UAD-1 makers would provide you a way to do this...

They have. you just disable the card in the meter. I'm just not sure what sonar would make of it if the dsp card was all of a sudden unavailable.

    Kind regards

    Dave,

At least with my system, disabling doesn't make the delay go away. I can close sonar, then go into UAD-1 system info and disable the cards, reopen sonar and the project and that works. But really it's easier to disable the efx bins than to go through all of that.

Yeah I agree. A global disable would be preferable. I wonder if it's the gapping issue which would prevent this - i.e. all those plugins jarring the audio engine and causing major problems. I suppose you could make it so it only worked while the engine was stopped.

    Kind regards

My system wont operate in this condition. I get pop-up messages from the UAD DSP telling me that it's unable to load the plug-ins.

Why don't we just do what was discussed yesterday? That is; select all or CRTL-A/right click for context menu/select bypass bin? That will bypass all of the FX bins for every track, will it not?

    Thanks,

Yes, but not the bus efx... which is where about 80% of my plugs are.

FWIW - apparently that option is not present in the right-click menu in Sonar3. Pity, I was following this thread with some interest...

You are absolutely right. It seems to me that this would be a logical inclusion for the next version or maybe even the next maintenance release. Has anyone requested this officially, yet?
