HELP PLEASE Audiosnnp

I am trying to use audiosnap to align some events in one track to another track and although I get the transient lines, when I move them, the audio just stays in place and does not follow the transient line.  I'm sorry I'm quite desperate, I have used this before with no problem but don't work with sonar a lot but in the middle of very time sensitive project and this is killing me

Have you set the control bar from smart tool to timing?  This sometimes effects the behavior of audiosnap.  Also, is your clip locked?  Did you highlight the markers you are moving (turn them yellow?) Is there room in the clip to move the transients?  Sometimes if the section you are trying to move in on a clip boundary, you can't move it.  These are the things I check for first

Might check to see if Audio Snap is actually turned on for that track Highlight the track, View, audio snap, make sure the On button is lit up.

I agree with what Stxx is telling you. I struggled with AS when it first came out and even gave up on it. In the last year or two I went back to using it and haven't figured out why I stopped using it. It is extremely easy to use if you understand how it works.

Make sure you're not grabbing the markers at the diamond/center as that moves the transient marker, not the audio event.

Grab them further away from their center to move audio.

appreciate all the help!!!! And yeah, was grabbing from the center... doh

Any idea why the transients don't show up, just that center diamond?  seems like the event has plenty of volume and the attack of note is clear

It can depend on the material and what your threshold in the AudioSnap Palette is. Alt clicking will draw user markers too.
