From what I was told, on here, its older 32 bit.  And apparently it will never be updated.

The bundled Sonitus FX plug-ins are DX format. To load, DX format plug-ins must be the same bitness as the host. IOW when running a 64bit host the plug-ins are 64bit too. SONAR included 32 and 64bit. CbB includes 64bit only.

There was a time when the plug-ins were available separate from the DAW. The Sontius FX Suite available for purchase was 32bit only in DX and VST formats.

In my FX Browser, it indicates the 32-bit-hood of a plug-in, so wouldn't we know from that? It's helped me weed out a few older plug-ins that I might not want to use in new projects for fear of obsolescence and inefficiency.

I tend to forget about those Sonitus FX for some reason, maybe because they're in that bundled plug-in blindspot or they suffer a bit from dated UI look. But none of them has ever failed to do anything I've asked of it.

The multiband compressor is particularly nice to have, as there are few good freeware ones available, so getting one with Cakewalk is a treat.

Warning: if you tell me my issue can be remedied by buying more RAM, an SSD, or a Waves plug-in, I will troll you pitiilessly

Not in CbB or 64bit SONAR. 32bit DX effects do not show up in 64bit hosts. They are not registered in an area read by 64bit DAWs.

The only 32bit plug-ins shown in CbB or 64bit SONAR are VST format and are clearly marked with (32-bit) after their name in the plug-in lists.
