My First Bandlab Recording

Since it's the holidaze, I chose a Christmas song -- "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" recorded by Darlene Love, originally released in 1962. I paid homage to the producer (Phil Spector) by cluttering it up with as many tracks as possible.
 
By the way, I had no trouble with Cakewalk by Bandlab. Everything worked as expected, and I probably will not go back to my SONAR Platinum. And even though this is a Christmas song, presented here at Christmastime, I know some of you Scrooges will comment on the technical aspects. I welcome your criticism.
 
I should note that I used a few of the techniques I learned from this thread to make the MIDI drums sound more realistic. I used Addictive Drums' randomization features, and I played some of it "live" on my Nektar LX-61 drum pads. Anybody notice anything?

OK, so much for what I liked... but it was the drums I did not like 100%. The rolls were a little ...Hmmm, Band in the Box shall I say. I think they were just a bit to many of the rolls. That's all. I know some drummers that might play that way , but myself I always tell them to lighten up :)

As for the drums, I might have gotten a little carried away, but a.) it was just a Christmas cover and b.) I was playing around with the stuff I learned recently about making MIDI drums sound real. I might have lost track of things.  In any case, Phil Spector might have approved of the busy drum track.

Unfortunately, I'm listening to this when it wasn't a "very Christmas" year here in this house.  We didn't do any décor or have the family over, etc.  It was actually a really good Christmas in terms of "not buying a bunch of stuff and instead spending time with friends and family" but the Christmas muisic took a back seat and now that the holiday is passed, it is even harder to listen to Christmas music at this point.
 
That said, I participated in your "drum thread" so what I'll say is that there was an appropriate amount of vintage "too much" reverb applied! :)
 
When you are ready to do another (non-Christmas) tune, let me know.  I'll lend some drums a la Pearl Mimic Pro.
