Automation Write question

Hi,  I've never seen this before and I don't use any automation.  Just Audio and no MIDI.  The "W" button now has a small "t" on it.  I don't remember that being there last week.  I'd like to make sure it's not doing anything.  Is there a way to make it go away and just have the "W"???

    Your right there is a little T there. Looks like it always was or at least since 3 years ago when I took this picture. It 
    probably means Write to Track

    The "T" does not stand for write to track. It is one of the three write modes covered in the documentation. "T" is for touch mode.

    T = Touch
    L = Latch
    O = Overwrite
