The original Newsgroup Coffeehouse was a knockdown, dragout slugfest where no one was spared.  Now...it appears that the entire journey is at an end.  I don't think the new forum will accommodate even this rather sedated and moderate outfit.  It is Coffeehouse Curtains 1998-2019.  Hmm...I wonder if that old USENET groups still exists.  That may be the only option.

    Ah, I remember those days.

I liked newsgroups, and the Cakewalk one was a good one.

It was great seeing all your subscribed newsgroups in the one newsgroup client. Pity porn spam killed them off.

The coffee house in the new forum seems to be going well.

The usual suspects are there, and it really doesn't feel much different from here.

Maybe it's just me*, but I've had a different impression of the new place so far.

It's seriously lacking a sense of fun. And most of whom I think of as the usual suspects are hanging on to the last here.

I'm still cleaning out my locker here, and it seems I have one day left to finish moving my stuff out of the basement.

I hate moving.  But if I don't see you this afternoon, have a good night; and see you at the other place....

I think everyone is still on their best behaviour, 'cos it's new and they're afraid to tread on the carpet with their dirty boots on. Plus it's a popularity contest now, so there's that.

It could use a little of CH v1.0, but not too much IMO.
