SONG: Phone Rage

I've got another new song up on the web site. It's called Phone Rage, and you can listen to it here http://www.soundclick.com/johnbranermusic.htm at the top of the list.

It was inspired by an afternoon spent trying to press the right sequence of buttons so that I could actually speak to a human. It didn't happen...

It features the usual list of suspects - Trilogy acoustic bass, DfHS drums, some GPO strings (and brass) and the usual mangling of guitars featuring my trust POD XT. I tried some Vintage warmer on the drums and strings too, and a little concert hall impulse with SIR on the strings and snare.

Please let me know if you like it or dislike it or are ambivalent... ;-)

    John:
I think the song is cool. I like the bass groove. I'm a guitar player, not a sound engineer, so I don't have a lot of technical knowledge to comment on the mix.

I do think the lead work came together nicely toward the middle and end, but was a bit rough at the beginning.

I found my head bobbing all the way through the track.

    Jeff.

    jsykes,
Thanks for listening. I did put a few "jolts" in there on purpose most of the lead work is all cut & pasted licks (although I did play them) and pitch shifted and reversed. I don't think there's a lot of "real" playing on this one....
