O.T. - Video Software with PE 5

I know this is off-topic, but the off-topic forum looks pretty ratty.

I currently use CPE5.01 to do audio for video - two weekly tv programs - 60 minutes each. I have done the video editing side to some degree as well. The current video company lost the contract and the clients have asked me to give them a price on doing EVERYTHING - video and audio.

The current company uses Avid Liquid Pro for the video editing. It seems a bit clunky to me. In the past, I have used Vegas for small projects of my own.

Which one is better for DVD production as well as output to Beta for TV? Is there something better?
