Hi Brad, Had a listen, some nice stuff there, one criticism... the drums sound terribly flat and uninspring, are you using samples and midi? thay lack the sparkle to get your songs soundling 'live'.... or maybe its just me??? (it usually is).

Thank you guys so much for taking the time to listen..

Two of the songs are MIDI Drums. The new one and new stuff I'll be working on will be loops, and some midi using DFH. It should improve..

Hudson , and Say Goodbye, were done a few years back before I had the gear I have now. It was done on an 8 track Tascam reel to reel. and some Midi drums..

    Hey thanks alot..

Didn't put the vocals in yet.. Sheeet ! I can't sing period, let alone sing like Howlin Wolf, but I'll try somethinmg. As far as that tuning goes. I'm not so sure it's standard tuning. It might be a variation of standard tuning. I did however find a work around. the First riff is slide in open D. (open E intervals). The second part of that riff is in standard tuning. I performed them 2 different times to get to sound right.

IMHO Get rid of everything that the "strange" guitar is doing in my left monitor and and write a great melody line.

    Only my opnion!!!

Jeff, Which song do you mean? Not highway 49? That's an old blues song.

Brad - Listened to "When You Walk." It's a good tune.
Vocals need to stand out more. Sounds like you have
a good voice so bring em up more. I'm also guilty
of trying to cover up my vocals at times but I'm gradually
breaking out of that mode. The mix needs some tweaking
too, but overall it sounds like you had fun recording it and
that's what makes all the work you put into count.
    Keep at it.

Thanks for the listen I appreciate that.. The vocals and keyboards were done by my old writing partner. Since I've moved to AZ 1-½ ago, I'll have to figure out what to do for the future in terms of singing.. Myvoice sucks. however I'll do it just to get the ideas down.

    Thanks again

    Best

Brad: I listened to a couple of your songs last night, and I feel your voice does not suck at all. I thought it was well done, and I liked the first song on your Soundclick. The music reminded me slightly of a Steely Dan style tune, and my wife thought your voice was akin to Michael McDonald. She thought the song had a Kenny Loggins feel. I wouldn't be unhappy if my music reminded people of any of those musicians. Jeff.

I'm only playing guitar on those songs. The singer is my old writing partner in New York.. He's not bad at all. My voice on the other hand is another story. The songs "Ahh come on", and "I was just 16", are all me. So far I haven't written words yet to those. Singning those will be a challenge.
