My first complete recording - made 1985!

I wrote and recorded this little track called TWO MINUTES in 1985, when I was 16 years old. It hasn't been made with a software-sequencer - I used a 4track-cassette-recorder.
You can hear...

Korg DW6000, DW8000, Mono/Poly, DDM-110
Roland SH-101, MC-202, TR-606

& a simple spring-reverb (Vesta..something).

Enjoy! :D

Greetings, Dirk.

Nice job, I especially liked the keyboard leads towards the end. Drum pattern was nice- were the fills preset? I started four track recording around 1985 also, was a bit older than 16 though Had a Korg DWG6000 and DDD5 for drums.

I never use(d) drumpresetpatterns. I did everything from scratch.

Did/do you have DDC-Cards for your DDD-5? I'm collecting them - look here!

I actually get a bigger kick out of this type of thing than fancy productions. Music was more fun and challenging for me back in the days when we were all using just 4 or 8 tracks and getting by with next to no gear at all. My first record was recorded in 1984/85 on a Teac 4-track reel to reel with no noise reduction and mixed on a cassette deck. (I actually used on octave divider for a bass guitar sound on one cut.) Man that was fun!

I had nothing else to do today so I thought I'd surf in and listen to a few tunes. Thanks for posting that.
