Listened to "Piece of Mind." Good musicianship and the overall sound was good.
Only thing i noticed that you might wanna get rid of is the hum from the guitar
before the song starts. Should be totally silent before the song starts.
Good job overall. Enjoyed the tune.

Nice playing. I like the theme riff. The drum sounds themselves bothered me a little (they just didn't sound that great). The kick sounds like it's filling the whole audio spectrum; it might work well to cut most of the highs and mids on it to make it sit better in the mix. More changes in the rhythm and general feel might help keep the song exciting. ... just my opinions...

    Nice work!

    Thanks guys
If I would finish a song b4 I upload it it would resolve the guitar noise issue. I need to EDIT this stuff first(I gotta read that book)
And I wasn't too happy with the drums either. But I think it needed something other than the high hat. More research and experiments due
    Thanks for your ears guys

    Dano,

I have to agree with the others, the drums don't reach the level of the other instruments.
Boost the lower and cut the mid frequencies of the bassdrum. It sounds too thin for me.

You have such a dreamy guitar sound, the drums are much too dry compared to the guitars. Try to add some very short reverb to the drums. Just early reflections with no (or very very little) predelay. This will keep them in the background.

And yeah, the hum. You already know that.

The song is quite good and interesting. Not the music I listen to usually. I' like the guitars, playing and sound, and the main riff.

    Hello M11 in Germany
Your input is greatly appreciated. I knew the drums didn't feel right when I finished this.
Now I get a little EQ training on the remix attempt. I'll play around with the tips I received from you guys this weekend and keep you posted on the results.
When I lived in Germany in the early 80s the music there was kindof techno pop or something like that. I made some friends there and they loved southern rock. A genre I still play but its not in the tunes I write. What do you listen to now?
    Just wondering
