Suggestions for a lapel mic

Hi all, I was selected to be the music team leader for a student organization up at college, and they are wanting to buy a good lapel mic for speakers to use at our weekly meeting.

I know NOTHING about lapel mics, so if there are some good ones in the 125 - 180 range that you like, please list them. i need to prepare a list and some budget things shortly, so I need to start investigating.

Debut Album, all in SONAR!

We've had best results from Seinhueser (sp??) Your budget may limit you to Samson, which are okay but not great.

Lapel mics are commonly called lavelier mics. Search music stores for that.

I buy at Sweetwater. (ask for Brad Lyons) You can get them anywhere.

Finally... you'll find lav mics to be less than great. Your much better off with headset mics for hands-free operation, but those are in the $400 range for a decent one.

The Sony ECM series (55, 66, 77 ect.) are industry standard for many TV folks.
