"Project" files for Guitar Tracks 3 demo needed
Brand new to the Forum; this is my first post. I bought the Spring 2005 "Computer Music Special" magazine (Future Publishing). "Turn your computer into a guitar studio". Lots of good stuff in there, that's for sure. But there is one thing that's bothering me. The demo of Cakewalk Guitar Tracks 3 doesn't have any demo files with it. No "project" to load in to see the interface and listen along. Can someone point me to some Guitar Tracks 3 demo files (native format so I can see all the tracks and such). So far, all I've been able to find is MP3s... some pretty good ones at that! You can e-mail them to me at mikeroberts@cablespeed.com if that's easier for you. Sure would be great to have a "project" to load. And if it's possible, I LOVE Blues All The Best, Mike Baltimore, MD

I'll try to do it. No guarantees. And it would probably be a GTP2 project anyway...but they load up in GTP3 no worries. I got that mag too. What a fluke

Thank you very much. I was hoping someone would be willing to help me out. I went back through the CD again looking for a sample to load in. Seems like a pretty big oversight . Thanks again for the reply. Mike

hmmmm.....a demo with no demo, pretty useless. GTP3 full version comes with a demo called "dobo or bobo or something". It's a kind of power rock anthem with a lot of tracks/clips/envelopes etc (sorry not blues). definitely gives you a good idea of the software's abilities though. it's no longer on my internal or external hard drive on the laptop i use for recording (deleted it at some point) but it's still on the intstall disk zuma, if you can't find a sample/song you want to send I'd be happy to email that off to Mike. I'll 1st need to find my instal disk among all my junk though, be a good excuse to organize some recording essentials/get rid of other stuff BTW, it'll be coming from a hotmail acct that often gets flagged as junk because of the #'s in the address. peace, James

Thanks so much! I really do appreciate the help. I've looked around again and still didn't see anything like "dobo or bobo". Thanks again, Mike

Mike Sorry buddy, tried to email "455 (Joboj GTP3 Demo).cwb" to your address, but hotmail couldn't handle the size (126mb). Even zipped (78mb), it was too big for lame hotmail. It's a "bundle" and therefore has the audio data along with settings all in one file - as oppossed to sending the project file (.cwp) and the audio data (.wav) seperate. Unfortunately my work email is only slightly better (yet another disadvantage to being an adjunct at a small college, obviously the pay being ther biggest ). So, don't think that'll help out either. sorry, looks like it's up to montezuma or another kind-hearted user. peace

Thanks to all who have posted or e-mailed me. I think I have everything I need now. I tried to send "thank you" emails to everyone who e-mailed me. Sorry if I missed anyone, my system has been giving me a fit. Thanks again! Mike
