Can you customize a midi remote learn?

I tried to set Arpeggiator Enable to remote on the mod wheel that springs to center (could go by another name). It worked But it turns arpeggiator on when in the center position, I want it the other way around. Off in the center on when I flip it. I tried assigning it to a key, but that only worked as a toggle. Hope you get what I mean.

thanks

    What's up DA.

Maybe I used the wrong term when I said toggle, but when I assigned enable ARP to a key, everytime I pressed the key and released it switched to the on or off. What I want is for ARP to be on when I am holding a key (or some remote dial) and off when it is released. Basically an on/off type deal. I guess I am going to change the remote setting to NOte On and and see what that does. Thanks for trying though. I dont always have the correct technical terms to explain myself.

I'm not in front of my P5 but isn't this a "Latch" issue?

I figured this one out. The setting that achieve what I wanted was "note on/off" selected.
    Thanks for your replies.
