dual monitor problem with colours

I have two monitors, same make, same model, and a Matrox G550 PCI dual head card...the colours on them are significantly different. I have used factory reset on the monitors, but the problem is still there...any ideas what I could try to get the same colours?
BTW, the monitors are HP 1703 LCD, 17"...
thanks

obviously, not a Sonar question, but I know many of you guys use 2 monitors, so I will just wait...

I saw a remark in very recent post, can't remember from who, commenting on similar problems with 2 monitors - stating it was probably caused by discrepancies in the video card.

If you swap the monitors on the video ports on your card, does the problem follow the monitor or the video port?

well, it follows the monitor..a.ctually, the colour on the monitor remains the same as it was before swapping, but the difference is the 'deployment' of shortcuts on the screen because i didn't change anything in the setting prior to swapping the cards, so now the primary monitor which was on the left was on the right, but the colours remained the same, if you know what i mean
