hi, im new to this forum, and fairly new to sonar, having only used it for a few months, 6 months ago.
i hope i dont pester you guys too much with questions, as im not very pc literate! i am looking at getting sonar 3 for £100 new. is sonar 3 a good edition, is it worth £100? i mainly use it with a boss dr yrthum, live guitars, bass and vocals, and found the last one i used adequate tho i cannot remember which version it was.

Sonar 3 is a great program. But I would look into Guitar Tracks Pro or Home Studio, if I were you. With Sonar, you might be buying more than you need.

Where in the world can you get a new copy of Sonar 3?

    That's kinda wierd.

Yes it is easily worth the price.

Where did you buy it from for 100? I hope you didn't buy it from someone who just updated to Sonar 4 because if you did, your copy is illegal and you've been ripped off.

I have owned SONAR 2.2 for over 2 years, mostly to record electric guitar tracks. I've found it to have many sophisticated features, which go well beyond my needs. I would suggest that you also examine Cakewalk Guitar Tracks. If you search using Google.com, you should find a wealth of product reviews for both SONAR and Guitar Tracks.

thanks to everybody for the responses!
the copy in question, IS brand new and is from a shop. i found the sonar i previously had easy to use, so i'm a bit concerned about delving into something new, as i dont really have time to have to learn something new, as ive said, im not too good with computers.
    thanks anyway guys
