Monitoring through a plug in?

Hey guys I have a simple or not so simple stupid question.
After reading through as much of the manual I could stand to do I am still lost.

I want to be able to plug my guitar in and run it through Re-Valver while tracking.
So far I can track with no effect and hear the effect after but I want to hear the effect while I track.

How is this done and how do I set it up in sonar? Like I said I read through the f*#*ing manual and found nothing.........

Thanks for any help as usual!

Well after having to re-install windows on my studio PC and my internet machine(virus er something), learning how to monitor through Re-Valver. My day can only be better.

Anyway off to reinstall more plugins.

I can get a mic to be live monitored by clicking on the echo through button for the audio track I'm using, but I'm not hearing the revervb I've turned on for that track. What am I missing? I have Sonar 3.

The answer is above look at page 171 in the S3 manual, you should find all you need there.

    Other wise post again.

I noticed the earlier posting by phrauge to look in p. 171 of the s3 manual, which is the first thing I did, but still no cigar. I played with various settings, routing the output to master, effect send 1, etc. I get the patch coming through, I have an effect patched in and turned on, but I'm only hearing the unmodified mic. I'm only getting "check, check" instead of the expected "chheckk, chheckk".

I've now figured out how to get the effect to be audible through my console, but now I can't get rid of the echo when I hear the effect. The manual says to mute the line-in on the volume control panel, and I've muted everything but the main (if you mute that, you near nothing at all). I actually have my console patched from the tape out to the mic in on the sound card, as patching to the line in on the sound card doesn't seem to work.

So now the question is, how to get rid of the echo?

I will have to mess with it when I finaly get back to my PC.
