Syncronize metronome to RD-700

Asked this question couple weeks ago, never really got resolved.
Want to syncronize the metronome in Music Creator to the drum tracks in my Roland RD-700. Did find on my Roland a way to use an external clock. But then the drum track goes dead, which Roland says means you're not hooked up to an external MIDI instrument. Which is bull, because I can record and play back from Music Creator. Also can use external midi note for metronome in Music Creator, which is the hi hat on the Roland.
Don't tell me to contact Roland, because Roland's help/support policy is, go f**k yourself. The manual is useless. I'm so P.O.'d at Roland, I'm ready to sell the RD-700, and it's only a year old. Anybody interested?
Will look for some Roland forums. If anybody knows of any, let me know.

    Guess we missed you.

Sorry. MC can does not have - or accept device control.

By that I assume you mean Music Creator does not provide a clock signal to an external instrument, nor will it accept one.

Does Cakewalk have a software package I can upgrade to that does have this capability?

Definitely SONAR 4 will have control.

I did some more research and find that I may be wrong. There may be the possibility of control - clock signal -

I haven't had time to work through all of this but check the following tutorial for SONAR version 2.0.
Sonar 1.0 is almost an exact version of Music Creator. Version 2 is very, very similar.

When I get some time I think I'll try also. Always love to find more potentail in this program, since Cakewalk seems to hide their secrets quite well behind poor documentation.

    Good Luck!
